Its easily bypassed, easily removed and can be easily shielded. We see a number of libraries where the shrinkage rate has risen as a consequence of RFID. Also, wanding for inventory is not that easy eaither, since the books are vertical and you are wanding perpendicular to it, not all tags are often read, which leads to confusion and manual wanding (pain). Plus, the costs involved... In any case, RFID is cool, we love it and sell a lot of it, but its not the panacea as many libraries would lead you to believe.
